IONOMR anion exchange membrane - durable and high-performance ion exchange

Pemion ™  It is a breakthrough proton exchange membrane (and cation exchange) and polymer product (PEM and CEM) in the advanced development of IONOMR.

Pemion represents a fundamental shift in proton exchange technology, as it chemically migrates from perfluorosulfonic acid (PFSA) to environmentally friendly hydrocarbon materials while maintaining maximum durability. These hydrocarbon materials also provide considerable performance, lower gas crossover, and eliminate environmental issues related to the disposal of fluorinated compounds (EOL).

The resulting performance improvement and gas crossover reduction have a revolutionary impact on the cost of hydrogen fuel cells by reducing the use of precious metals, extending lifespan by reducing degradation, and improving efficiency by operating at higher temperatures with less fuel crossover. Other applications affected by this technology are advanced battery technologies, including electrodes, coatings, and solid electrolytes.

Unlike similar PFSA products, IONOMR's hydrocarbon products greatly reduce toxicity and environmental impact during manufacturing and disposal.
