Regarding ORION anion exchange membrane providing durability

Orion AM is an aromatic polymer containing alkyl trimethylammonium cationic groups, which exhibits excellent chemical stability, tough mechanical properties, high ion conductivity, high ion exchange capacity, low water swelling, and good solubility in various solvents including alcohol/water mixtures under alkaline conditions.

Please refer to the NREL study, which compared over 50 anion exchange membranes and found that Orion AM is the only durable membrane with almost no degradation at 80 ° C within 1000 hours in KOH (PPN5 in the study). Orion's BN2 is the second most durable AEM in the NREL 50+field studied.

Orion AM comes in the form of ionomer powder/resin, alcohol/water ionomer solution, 5 µ m thick reinforcing film, and 25 µ m thick reinforcing film. Orion AM can be customized as a standalone membrane or a composite membrane.
